Runcie Meets With Parents Over Incident With Autistic Students

Parents of autistic children are calling for changes in Broward County schools.

Superintendent Robert Runcie met with concerned parents yesterday over a recent incident at a school in Pembroke Pines.

A teacher and teacher's aide are accused of swearing at kindergarten students who are autistic at Pasadena Lakes Elementary School.

The parents used a product called "Angel Sense," where they were able to hear the interactions between their children and the teachers.

Parents tell Local 10 News they're glad the teachers were removed from the classroom, but at least one parent would also like to see cameras in the classrooms.
