Jason Aldean Resumes Tour After Las Vegas Tragedy

Jason Aldean took the stage for the first time Thursday (Oct. 12) since the tragic shooting at Route 91 Harvest festival in Las Vegas.

After cancelling the first weekend of shows after the massacre, the country superstar resumed his They Don’t Know Tour in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the country crowed listened intently as the lights came up and Jason spoke about what is now the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.

“This country can be really divided—that’s really unfortunate to see,” he said from stage after his first three songs. “It’s been cool to see all the love and support that’s been going on for the last 10 days. If we could do that on a daily basis the world would be a better place.”

Jason then addressed the fear some may have in the wake of such tragedies.

“They’re gonna try to continue to hold us down ... make us live in fear and be scared,” the “They Don’t Know” singer added. “To those people I say [expletive] you, we don’t really care.”

The gunman in the attack killed 58 and injured more than 500 before taking his own life.
