Listener Shay from Idaho called into the Bobby Bones Show talking about advice, but ended up telling a crazier story about the Top Shelf Country Cruise.
Shay revealed that she and her husband were on the Top Shelf Country Cruise and briefly met Bobby and Eddie, but then things went in a way different direction. Shortly after boarding, her husband began experiencing severe pain. By midnight, his condition worsened to the point that they sought help from the ship’s medical staff. The following morning, they were instructed to leave the ship in Key West to seek further medical attention. After visiting an urgent care facility, her husband was sent by ambulance to a hospital, where additional testing revealed an issue with his gallbladder. He ultimately underwent surgery to have it removed and spent four days recovering in the hospital.
Shay said they had not known about any prior gallbladder issues, and the situation unfolded quickly. She added that medical staff advised against flying home for treatment due to the risk of complications, including the possibility of the gallbladder rupturing during travel. After consulting with their daughter, who is a nurse, they agreed to proceed with surgery in Florida. She confirmed that her husband had since recovered and was doing well, really thankful for the care they received. The show is glad that all is ok now, but many of the show members were shocked they had no idea that any of this happened with their listeners.
