Early voting for Florida's August 18 Primary Election is now underway in Miami-Dade County, giving voters the opportunity to cast their ballots ahead of Election Day.
Miami-Dade's early voting period runs through August 16, with polling locations open throughout the county, including libraries, community centers, Miami Beach City Hall, and the Elections Department office in Doral. Secure ballot intake stations are also available at every early voting site, allowing voters to drop off completed vote-by-mail ballots.
Meanwhile, Broward County voters will have to wait a few more days. Early voting there begins August 8 and continues through August 16. Polling locations and ballot drop boxes will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Election officials are reminding voters to bring a valid photo and signature ID when voting in person. Voters without proper identification may still cast a provisional ballot, which will be reviewed later for eligibility.
Officials in both counties are encouraging residents to take advantage of early voting to avoid Election Day crowds and ensure their ballots are cast before the August 18 primary.
