State Surgeon General Cannot Take Questions From Lawmakers In Tallahassee

A heated exchanged between the Chair and ranking member House Professions and Public Health Subcommittee during a briefing by State Surgeon General Scott Rivkees. The war of words began after Rivkees gave an update on COVID-19 case numbers, death rates and vaccine rollout. When Democrat Carlos Smith raised his hand to ask questions Republican Will Robinson said no. Smith says this just leads to the perception that the process is a sham. Robinson says he can't do anything about it because a q-and-a is not on the agenda. He says Rivkees is more than welcome to answer questions at the appropriate time.
