"Glaring Inequities" Of COVID-19 Vaccine Program Has Official Concerned

Palm Beach County Vice Mayor Robert Weinroth is concerned about what he calls "glaring inequities" in the vaccination program.

During Tuesday's county commission meeting, he pointed to data showing that just 7 percent of the county's black and Hispanic residents have been inoculated for COVID-19, compared to 70 percent of white residents.

Weinroth is challenging county managers and state health officials to "re-double the efforts" to get people in underserved communities vaccinated.

He pointed out a lack of trust and concerns among minorities that the vaccines are not safe.
