Carrie Underwood Shares 'Awkward' Throwback Photo On Wedding Anniversary

Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher have been married for 10 years!

The country star turned to Instagram on Friday (July 10) to wish her husband a happy anniversary sharing two photos that show just how far they've come. The first picture is a split image of Underwood and Fisher as teenagers long before they knew one another, while the second, taken more recently, shows the adorable couple together.

"Hey you two crazy kids. Believe it or not, some day you both will become (slightly) less awkward, you’ll grow up to have pretty cool jobs, you’ll meet backstage at some girl’s concert, fall in love, get married, have two amazing boys, and live happily ever after!" Underwood captioned the post.

"These past 10 years have been pretty incredible with you, @mfisher1212," Underwood continues. "Here’s to many many more ... without the bowl cuts! I love you and I thank the good Lord that He brought those two kids together! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!"

Underwood and Fisher got married a decade ago on July 10, 2010. Since then, they've welcomed two sons to their family, Isaiah, 5, and Jacob, 1.

Recently, the couple started to open up about their personal life like never before in a video series, Mike and Carrie: God & Country. The four-part series of short films, for the non-profit I Am Second, offers fans a look into the couple's personal lives as they discuss some of the most challenging moments they've had to overcome together.

During one episode, the couple got candid about how they work to maintain their relationship. "We learn from each other, and we have spirited discussions about things that we disagree on," Underwood said. "But at the end of the day, we love each other very much."

"That's where our faith comes in too," Fisher added. "I think it gives us a center ground, where that's the most important thing in anything."

All episodes from the series are available for fans to watch here!
