First of all, did you know that Jacksonville's Minor League Baseball team is called the Jumbo Shrimp? They deserve an award for that name alone. That's epic.
Second, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (lol) are holding a "Florida Man" Night at the game on July 26th.
The Double-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins has been pretty tight lipped about the promotion, but they did promise Jacksonville will break a weird Florida law in every single inning.
This is literally the best promotional idea I've ever heard and I'm mad at myself for not thinking of it.
God help us if the game is tied after nine innings.
And it's been announced that Lane Pittman will be in attendance. Name doesn't ring a bell? I bet this video will. Lane can be seen holding an American flag and blasting Slayer in the middle of a category 2 hurricane. Florida RULES!
