The Lovie Smith Era in Tampa Bay will begin on September 8th at home against the Carolina Panthers.  The Bucs will play one primetime game— Thursday night in Atlanta against the Falcons in Week 3.


The NFL released their schedule on Wednesday night.  The Bucs bye week comes in Week 7.  Outside of their NFC South opponents, the Bucs will play the AFC North and the NFC North— that includes a trip to Chicago in Week 12 as Lovie will take on his former team, the Bears.   


The Bucs play the first two games at home— against Carolina and St. Louis.  Then, they have four tough games before the bye week, with three straight on the road— At Atlanta, at Pittsburgh and at New Orleans before hosting the Ravens before the bye week.
