Tuesday afternoon, the Buccaneers announced Derrick Brooks will become the sixth member of the Bucs Ring of Honor, and third in Tampa Bay's history to have his number (55) retired.

Brooks will join Lee Roy Selmon, John McKay, Jimmy Giles, Paul Gruber and Warren Sapp on September 14, 2014 when the Bucs host the St. Louis Rams at Raymond James Stadium.

The announcement did not come as a surprise as the NFL announced on the eve of Super Bowl XLVIII that Brooks, who spent all 14 years of his career in Tampa Bay, will become the third Buccaneer into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this August.

One Buc Place was filled with former teammates, coaches, staff members, and media as Buccaneers Co-Chairman Bryan Glazer made the announcement and WDAE was there to bring you audio from every angle.
