Vanity Fair says before Tom Cruise went for Katie Holmes, the Church of Scientology auditioned girlfriends for him.
The October Vanity Fair cover story claims that in 2004, high ranking Scientology officials were given the task of finding Tom Cruise a new partner, and they audited Iranian born actress Nazanin Boniadi for the job.
The couple then dated from November, 2004 to January 2005.
Boniadi was “told to lose her braces, her red highlights and her boyfriend,” before she met Cruise the following month.
They allegedly fell in love, but after a series of incidents, Boniadi was forced to leave Cruise’s home, where she was living, and move into Scientology’s Celebrity Centre. "
